Crocs
Retail fit-out for Crocs – York Designer Outlet (McArthurGlen)
project Overview

Silvaman carried out a full strip-out and complete fit-out of the Crocs retail unit at York Designer Outlet, transforming the space in line with the brand’s global design standards. The unit was taken back to shell condition, including the removal of all services, flooring, and existing fixtures, followed by a full rebuild using Crocs’ standardized store design.
Working to a tight deadline ahead of the busy holiday season, the team fast-tracked the schedule to complete the project ahead of schedule. Despite challenges around site access and noise restrictions, the store was opened in time for Black Friday, weeks ahead of the contracted deadline.
OUr Objective
The primary goal was to deliver a brand-consistent store that matched Crocs’ international retail design and was fully operational in time for the Black Friday trading period.
Challenges And Solutions
- Challenge:
Access and noise restrictions: As the site was within a live shopping centre, noisy works had to be carefully scheduled to minimise disruption.
- Solution:
Deliveries and work phases were coordinated with the centre management to stay compliant.
- Challenge:
Client-supplied fixtures: All materials and fixtures were shipped in from Crocs’ head office in the Netherlands.
- Solution:
Our team ensured seamless integration of client-supplied components by planning install sequences in line with logistics schedules.
Results and Impact
The project was delivered well ahead of schedule and fully aligned with Crocs’ brand vision. The early handover allowed the store to open during one of the busiest retail weekends of the year, boosting footfall and sales. This success further strengthened the relationship with Crocs, contributing to ongoing discussions for future projects in 2025.
